This is the most difficult
to reach of all the centres, it seems as if you had to drive to the end of
the world. Either from Seville via La Puebla del Río or from
Villamanrique de la Condesa there is a public access but the route is not
very well signposted and the tracks can be in very bad conditions. The
easier and shorter access from El Rocío is limited to authorized
vehicles.
A traditional hut
surrounded by the marshes houses an interesting exhibition about the park
focussed on the marshland. A 16 minute long film complete the information.
Toilettes, a bar with hot
and cold drinks and snacks, and a souvenir shop are other facilities in
this centre.
But what makes the long
trip worth it is the lagoon around the building. In Spring, many thousand
herons, ibis and egrets concentrate to nest on its trees and reed beds.
This is one of the highlights of Doņana.

The opening and closing times vary depending on the
season so you better check beforehand by calling the Park Administrative
Centre at 959 448 640.
